Buzz about Josiah’s Gift:
By Jeannette Joseph (Shreveport, LA) I very much enjoyed reading Josiah's Gift. This true story is an inspiration to us that the right thing is always the best thing to do. As this story portrays, honoring the scriptural truths of God brings rewards in very special ways. A great story told in a very entertaining manner!
By BethAnn Galiardi (Seattle, Washington) Sara. Wow. I just finished your book. (I told you I couldn't wait!!!). Fortunately for me I had nothing to do this morning but lay in bed and turn your beautiful pages, one by one, no stops or hesitations. Sara, I am so grateful that you have shared this gigantic piece of yourself with me, with all of us. You are amazing. All my love to you and your family this holiday season and beyond and I hope through telling the world this story and filling us all with hope and healing, your life will overflow with your own healing and.... absolutely everything good and wonderful! Thank you! xoxoxoxoxo
By Bonnie Leporiere (Napa, California ) This is a book you can't put down! You can't help but be drawn into the truth of what love, faith in God and trust in a future can accomplish. You laugh, cry and commiserate with Sara and David. It is complete with an absolutely beautiful and fitting tribute to a much loved son.
By K. Carsillo (Napa, California ) I laughed and cried my way through the whole book. I felt like I was right there with the McLeod's as they struggled with the choice they were forced to make. The author mentions several times about her struggles with the newness of authoring a novel, but she did an outstanding job! She pulls you in with her humor and optimism and although the story can be sad at times, she handles it with grace. With true stories such as this one you don't usually expect a twist at the end, but you get one here. This is Sara and David McLeod's very private and heartbreaking journey that they have chosen to share. I don't want to say much more other than this book is a MUST read!!
By C. Serway (Vacaville, CA) I just read Josiah's Gift from cover to cover in one sitting... (I literally could not put it down!) Please get this book... because everyone should hear this story. This is a story that is true, for God wrote it. You will understand when you read it! God wastes nothing in our lives if we give Him the glory. May this not be the last book that Sara McLeod authors, for I will be looking forward to future works.
By David M. Loftus (Texas) Author Sara McLeod, in her debut opus "Josiah's Gift," invites the reader to join her and her husband on their journey of joy, heartbreak, disappointment, hope, and redemption. By any measure, she has succeeded in crafting a highly readable account of a very personal and intimate episode in her family's life. As a reviewer, I must confess that this is not the genre of literature I am prone to tackle, but at the urging of a friend who gave me the book as a gift, I somewhat hesitatingly gave it a look. And I'm so very glad I did! From the opening paragraphs I found myself unable to put the story down, so eager was I to remain at Sara's side. Page after quick-turning page gripping narrative tore at my sympathies. I truly felt that Sara had let me into her very soul, and I couldn't help but share in her emotions along the way. Without giving anything away, the story culminates with a surprise "ah-ha!" that suddenly makes sense of the entire journey. Sort of a bright ribbon bow that wraps up the tale all nice and tidy. In a nutshell, profoundly satsifying and highly recommended. Congratulations Sara McLeod! |
